Joseph Allen

My name is Joseph Allen and I am 30 years old. I am currently working as a developer for British Software Development in Bournemouth. At British, my roles typically include working on Laravel and Angular.js web applications for a variety of different clients with different needs. I also am responsible for setting up and maintaining a lot of hosting for the projects.

Before Joining British Software Development in summer 2015, I studied Digital Media Design (BA Hons) at Bournemouth University and have since returned to teach a workshop for the current final year students. Prior to attending Bournemouth University, I studied Access to HE: Media at the Bournemouth and Poole College. I am a digital media designer, developer and creator. For web, I am able to design and build websites as well as develop web based applications and back end server setup. Aside from web I also have skills in designing and developing apps for smartphones and wearables, such as Android, iOS, Pebble smartwatch and Google Glass.

Personal interests and hobbies

When I’m away from the computer screen, I enjoy collecting and playing retro video games and tabletop games with friends. If the weather is actually nice in England, I can sometimes be seen riding my motorcycle around.
